Laura Grodsky

Social Impact Manager

Laura Grodsky is the Social Impact Manager at Matters of State Strategies, where her diverse experience in political campaigns, volunteering for gubernatorial races, and active involvement in numerous media events has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of both the political and nonprofit landscapes. From knocking doors alongside candidate Paul Penzone during his first run for Maricopa County Sheriff to volunteering at the Maricopa County Democratic Party and distributing water bottles to the homeless alongside then-Mayor Greg Stanton during her time with the Salvation Army, Laura's commitment to making a positive impact is evident.

Her unwavering passion for social issues shines through her dedication to advocating for child foster care and homelessness. As the former Senior Service Manager at Arizona Helping Hands, a prominent provider of essential resources to foster children, Laura has demonstrated a profound commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. Her hands-on management of day-to-day operations and services for foster children and their families has made a significant difference in their lives. In 2018, Laura represented Arizona's largest foster children foundation at the prestigious Baby 2 Baby Summit in Los Angeles.

At Matters of State Strategies, Laura leverages her expertise in social issues and non-profits to support our non-profit clientele. Additionally, she offers valuable assistance to the communications team in crafting compelling social media messaging, especially in matters related to social issues. Her genuine commitment to advocating for those in need fuels her unwavering passion to effect meaningful change. When she's not making valuable contributions to our team, Laura excels in database administration, teaches babies to swim, and lovingly nurtures her 2-year-old daughter with her husband, Matt.
